Breathe a Little

Breathe a little,

close your eyes,

draw a circle around you,

and stand in the middle,

you are the focus,

you are the eye of the storm,

you are Shiva’s third eye.

Breathe a little,

close your eyes,

draw a triangle around you,

think of the beginning, the end, and the middle.

Do they intersect somewhere? Can they?

Breathe a little,

close your eyes,

draw a square around you,

think of the four most important things in your life,

and fit them into those corners.

Breathe a little,

close your eyes,

take that square and stretch it into a rectangle around you,

think of those four things that you just fitted into the corners of that square,

do they still appear the same?

which of the two appear the same but yet seem stretched and out of shape?

Breathe a little,

close your eyes,

and let’s add some more corners and angles and make a beautiful, shiny diamond.

Hold up that diamond to the light.

Does the solid brilliance of that cold stone blind you?

Do the sharp edges give you clarity and certainty?

If yes, you can stop breathing now.

If not, breathe some more.
