White Sheet

The blankness of the sheet is an echo in the brightness of the day,

the wordlessness of the sheet creates white noise in the backdrop,

the godlessness of what should be there but is not creates unanswered questions.

A drop of ink falls from the nib,

the thirsty parchment drinks it up,

before it can leave a mark,

it’s gone.
