A huge crowd has been waiting since morning to get a glimpse of him. The hall’s jam-packed and what was a winter morning, had turned into a hot afternoon. One can sense the expectation and anticipation on the audience’s face.

The Dalai Lama is here to speak about his book ‘Kinship of Faiths’. He is to be in conversation with Barkha Dutt, but as she isn’t here, Pico Iyer fills in for her.
